Sara & Ben
The wedding of Sara and Ben took place at the Rice Ballroom on April 1, 2006. The elegant affair was attended by 150 guests who enjoyed an evening with traditional Jewish ceremony, seated dinner buffet, and dancing.
After an exchange of vows under an elaborate chuppah, the 150 guests retreated downstairs for a cocktail reception. The room was then turned from the ceremony to the reception location in less than an hour. Upon returning to the ballroom, the guest picked up pill bottles with their seating location placed on them (the groom is a pharmacist and this provided a whimsical way to present the seating arrangement).
The guests then enjoyed a candlelit, buffet dinner in the ballroom. A combination of bright colors was the event’s color palette and was seen throughout the event on the centerpieces, cake, and linens. A fun and entertaining band entertained the guests throughout the dinner and kept the dance floor until late into the evening. Guests also enjoyed a luge ice sculpture, which poured out the martini drinks.
